3. (8pts) One of your friends tried to set up a wireless LAN at home but his laptop was not able to access Internet and asked for your help. Please write your answer clearly and neatly. Assume the following information is shown after you typed ipconfig command: Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : When you tried to ping the default gateway 192.168.1.1, it was successful, but when you tried to ping www.uni.edu, it returns: C: > ping www.uni.edu the name and try again. What could be the possible reasons? Explain how you would further troubleshoot the problem.

If Ping works and cant browse,then generally firewall might be blocking the internet packets.

IN PC,microsoft sets the firewall based on the IP of your machine.
Disable the firewall and check once.

The other reason might be ,the website www.uni.edu 's host server might be down.You can check website host ip by below command in CMD

nslookup websiteUrl

The 3 rd reason would be you have given the wrong Url.
This is also can be checked by

nslookup websiteUrl

If it gives IP,its correct or else incorrect.
