Google’s strategic goals include organization the world’s information, expanding the company, and make it universally accessible. Essentially, this means Google must find new ways of making information more accessible, and widening the boundaries of information technology. Google needs to grow as well as remain at the frontier of information technology.

The HCM best practices that are most suitable for Google’s strategic goals are as follows:

Google must perfect its HRM related practices such as improving payroll administration, benefits administration, recruiting personnel, placing them appropriately, and securely maintaining employee data.

Further, it must recruit the most talented, innovative, and accomplished employees. They must recruit employees who have knowledge and skills related to the cutting edge of technology. This is essential because Google needs to broaden the frontiers of information technology.

Next, Google must train its employees in the state of art information technology techniques Further, it must create, maintain, and sustain a culture of innovation. Based on the strategic goals of Google it must develop and administer a performance management program, and a supplementing compensation program. It must also encourage learning and develop effective succession planning.

Further, Google must develop the best practices for workforce management. This includes skills necessary for the positions in the company. It includes planning of workforce, providing appropriate functional training, and deploying employees in a planned manner.

Also, Google must develop strategies for retaining its valuable workforce. This means developing a competitive pay structure, a comprehensive benefits program, a career plan, and periodic training.
