Explanation / Answer
A zero unemployment rate means everyone has the employment who wants to be employed. In this scenario, it is important to assess the position and status of the need of the candidates as per the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and implement the panel interview process so that qualified and eligible candidates are attracted to the organization. During the interview, the interviewers should assess the candidates and the needs being fulfilled at present. Afterwards, the interview should be progressed in such a way that the position on offer can offer the opportunity to satisfy the next level of needs of the candidate. It will make the candidate to think positively about the opportunity and can accept it if the job position is offered to the candidate.
The second technique is the structured interview process where the interview committee discusses the career path for the prospective candidates and vision of the organization what the organization can offer to its employees. It creates a futuristic view of the career for the candidates and it can be an attractive proposition for the candidates to join the position.
Further, the interview boar can offer the candidates to work on a project for a short time basis and understand each other. If the organization culture and the candidates’ capabilities match, then the full time position can be offered to the selected candidates.
