What changes (positives & negatives) would likely occur in the environmental & societal conditions in China due to the climate change scenario that CO2 would double by 2100. The speculations need to be analytical and make sense in the light of current conditions of China.

Some examples of what I can include in my essay would be water supply problems, agricultural/food supply issues, effects on major industries, health impacts, political disputes.

Ultimately, It’d be great if I could get some help with a few examples that I should include in my essay.

Explanation / Answer

With agriculture getting affected the number of malnourished individuals will rise. As it is at present the number of malnourished individuals is quite high. But if due to climate changes there is a dip in agriculture it will effect a rise in malnourished individuals.

Added to that there a lot of poor people who live on the coastline and their livelihood depends on the marine ecosystem. With the climatic changes the marine ecosystem gets adversely affected which will affect the livelihood of these poor people.

One needs to understand that in any industry the environment plays a role and with the climate change that is going to be impacted which in turn will impact industries. If industries are impacted the public and stakeholders attached to the industries get impacted.
