You are given the opportunity to explain why your knowledge of business marketing would make you a better-qualified candidate for the position. What aspects of business marketing that you have learned would you explain to them to differentiate yourself from someone with only consumer marketing experience? I have five years of experience in business marketing and I have done an excellent work throughout my career in business marketing. As per my previous employer I am an employee with excellent skills that are essential to convince the B2B customers. There is lot of difference between consumer marketing and business marketing. Consumer marketing is an easy job compared to business marketing as the consumer marketing manager deals with the common public. There are fewer chances of any serious impact of the job that may affect the business. But the business marketing managers deal with business customers who are extremely clever and analyze each and every point before taking a business decision. The number of customers in B2B marketing is very less compared to B2C but the impact of each customer is very high on the business. The necessary qualities of consumer marketing manager include good communication and interpersonal skills and need not posses any technical skills to perform in job. But the case with business marketing is extremely different and business marketing managers should know the end to end details of the product they market including technical specifications. The B2B customers should be convinced with the communication, interpersonal as well as technical skills and high negotiation skills in order to take a decision in favor of the company. Hence I think business marketing is far superior to consumer marketing and is full of challenges and risks and a person with good experience in business marketing can do the job better than a person with consumer marketing experience. I always enjoy meeting my challenges overcoming the risks associated and have succeeded in my entire career. I have good knowledge on electrical products and I believe I can contribute more to your business using my knowledge on electrical motors and its application. I am sure I can convince the B2B customers in various industries with my knowledge and skills to buy our electric motors and help the company to make profit better than any other candidate.
