Find and read 4 or 5 EULA’s. Provide answers to the following: Did you know you were ‘clicking’ away so many of your rights, or were subject to so many legal bindings? Should the Internet be neutral? Discuss your thoughts. Discuss how you feel about an application that has the following characteristics: 1)Full Internet access 2)Allows the app to access the phone features of the device. An app with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like. 3)Ability to modify/delete USB storage contents modify/delete SD card contents 4)Allows the app to retrieve information about currently and recently running tasks.Malicious apps may discover private information about other apps. 5) Allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep. 6) Allows the app to change the current configuration, such as the locale or overall font size. 7) Allows the app to modify the system's settings data. Malicious apps may corrupt your system's configuration. 8) Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera. This allows the app at any time to collect images the camera is seeing. 9)Access coarse location sources such as the cellular network database to determine an approximate tablet location, where available. Malicious apps may use this to determine approximately where you are. 10)Allows the app to access the phone features of the device. An app with this permission can determine the phone number and serial number of this phone, whether a call is active, the number that call is connected to and the like. 11) Allows the app to retrieve information about currently and recently running tasks.Malicious apps may discover private information about other apps. 12) Allows the app to control Network communication, receive data from Internet. Allows apps to accept cloud to device messages sent by the app's service. Using this service will incur data usage.Malicious apps could cause excess data usage. 13)Allows the app to view the state of all networks. View Wi-Fi state. Allows the app to view the information about the state of Wi-Fi. 14)Power phone on or off.

Explanation / Answer

if we have that app that access above all permissions, we a indirectly designed a app that is virtually access the current ststus of phone remotely. i.e we are developed a malicious app for intruders. I thought this app can work remotely since it have that ability.

Allows the app to control Network communication:

This we see far too often. If an app has no function for you to communicate with anyone else, or any type of downloadable content, this usually means ads. To show you ads, the app needs to get them from the Internet. If they app you're using is ad-free, has no need to contact the outside world, and doesn't have any type of add-on content, be wary. But don't be silly

Ability to modify/delete USB storage contents modify/delete SD card contents:

If an app asks for this permission, it can acess your entire memory, and read, edit and delete your data. You should be very wary of apps asking for this permission. In combination with access to the Internet, an app could upload private photos to a website. A special note: all apps are granted this permission in any Android operating system below Android 1.5. You've got to be extra careful if you're working with an older version of Android.

Full Internet access:

With this privilege, you have to be extra careful.since As the name suggests, the app receives full access to the Internet. Data (private data/personal data) can be uploaded without your knowledge. many apps need this permission to work at all, but just as many apps do not. In combination with other permissions, this app can quickly cause widespread damage. You should therefore consider carefully before installing whether or not an app really needs this permission.

Allows the app to take pictures and videos with the camera:

Alternative other camera apps require this right in order to take photographs. Theoretically, a malicious app can secretly take pictures and distribute them on the Internet but, in practice, it's quite hard for an app to operate your camera. But no a days these type of frouds become comon. Intruders remotly access the camera and find out whts going on there with out annoying any thng.

Allows the app to access the phone features of the device:

This permission is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, it's normal for any app to read your phone state so that the app can be interrupted when, for example, you need to take a call. But on the other hand, the app gains access to two device numbers: your IMEI and IMSI. Many app developers use these numbers to protect their apps from piracy, but theoretically they could also use these numbers to locate you
