The Grand Strategies are particularly critical and you should concentrate your efforts on understanding them. Answer: The grand strategy means the strategies which are created by the firms for their long term survival. These include strategies like the market growth, product development and turnaround and so on. One such news which was prominent at the marketplace was the launch of the android version of smart phone range by Nokia. Nokia was once a market leader in the global mobile phone market. After the advent of the Smart phones, the company was not able to maintain its leadership because it was not able to provide a matching operating system to the consumers like iOS of Apple and Android. As a result the company was taken over by Microsoft. Even this move was not successful and the company was taken over by Foxconn, the supplier for Apple Iphone. After this happening , Nokia has decided to launch its android version smart phones looking into the popularity and acceptance of the operating platform. This is an example of both product development and turnaround grand strategies which are used by the organizations for their long term survival.
