Explanation / Answer

IN BURN DOWN CHART OUR AIM IS To track how much work is still not done and when we are going to be done with the whole work. On the other hand in burn up chart the aim is to track hoe much work we have completed so the chart moves up instead of going down. In the burn down chart it appears that the team has not accomplished much in the middle of the project. Burn down chart shows the complete picture as to how the team made steady progress through the entire duration of the project. A burn up chart shows the scope where work is added to or removed from a project. A burn up tracks completed work and total work with two separate lines, unlike a burn down chart which combines them into a single line. Showing project performance to a regular customer, it will be better off with the burn up chart. A burn up clearly makes the scope creep problem visible to the customer. This may even help you to convince them to stop requesting changes and allow the project to complete.
