Explanation / Answer

1. Here is a link for the Windows 7 System Requirements: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/system-requirements Copied from the link: "Windows 7 system requirements If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes: 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit) 16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver" 2. Download Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to see if computers are Windows 7 Accessible. http://windows.microsoft.com/upgradeadvisor After it is downloaded and executed, it runs a report that says whether windows 7 will work on it. Here is a tutorial that walks you through it step by step: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/10956-windows-7-upgrade-advisor.html 3. I'm not quite sure what HCL is referring to (you might have gone over it in your class) but I'm assuming it's talking about the Hardware Compatibility List for Windows 7 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx) which is a list of hardware devices that have successfully passed the Hardware Compatibility Tests. 4. Here is a list of the Windows 7 versions: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/compare I suggest the Professional version since it's for a company and it provides beneficial features for companies such as Windows XP Mode, the ability to back up to a business network, and Domain Join, that the home version does not have. Bitlocker and extended languages provided in the Ultimate version may not be necessary for company efficiency. Just use the links to take screen captures and elaborate on each question to get to 2-3 pages! Hope this helps :)
