In a future management position, the material covered in this module could be used in the various ways. First, it would allow management to have an understanding of queuing analysis and the role it plays in the quality of service and how it impacts the overall cost of conducting a business. A queuing analysis can be used to determine the order of serving customers, to determine where those customers come from, how often they arrive for service, and the speed in which the customers receive service. By conducting this type of analysis, managers can make better use of the workforce and inventory that is available in an effort to minimize operating costs and productivity. In terms of workforce, an analysis can determine the number of personnel needed to provide services during times of high consumer demand for support, and during those times of low demand to allocate those employees to other areas of the organization where additional support is needed. The same thought can be applied when conducting an analysis in terms of inventory. An organization can use queuing analysis to plan what inventory (whether raw materials, equipment, or finished product) that are needed to meet demand for products and to better utilize organization resources. By using queuing analysis, managers have a planning tool at their disposal that lead to a more productive organization.

The queuing analysis is indeed to gather momentum when the future management position is to be concerned. Over the years, the significance of quality management has already been understood by the Management. Quality management is rather a philosophy that involves everyone in the organization in a continual effort to improve quality and achieve customer satisfaction. It is only with Quality Management in place that the whole organization works together to guarantee product quality products and services with a definite aim to make products of perfect quality- with Zero Defect in the system. Accordingly, the Quality techniques such Six sigma, Kaizen and ISO 9000, are widely used across the Organizations. Within the Quality management concept, there is an inclusion of the queuing analysis as well. When it comes to the service sector, this analysis plays an important part. Waiting line is one of most important challenges in services sector and Queuing analysis is the answer to that. For example, sharing my own personal experience with a certain Health care Organization was that the delays were usually a reflection of the difference in the capacity of the services available or offered by that clinic as against the demand for the same. In case of the waiting queue of the patients, when patients walked-in to this clinic without prior appointments for the treatment of their minor diseases to critical ones, there arouse a need for queuing analysis. Apart from that it can serve advantages to the service sector, even in manufacturing industry, this could be an important analytical tool. The overall quality of the processes improves thereby helping in producing more efficient products for the customers. There would be an improvement in the work environment as well which results into more dedication and commitment to work by the employees thereby enabling the produce of higher quality of goods and services to the customers.
Further, due to the increase in efficiency due to the Queuing analysis, there could be a reduction in the cost of production, benefits of which could be ultimately passed on to the customers by way of charging the products at a more competitive price. There could also be a possible reduction in delivery time thereby helping to serve the customers better. Moreover, there would also be an overall improvement of the administrative procedures and the documentation activities as well which could facilitate better services to the customers. In fact, there would be more regards towards safety practices and policies formulated with the view to lessen the damages caused to the environment, hence playing its role in the movement of Corporate Social Responsibility as well, thereby enhancing the customer satisfaction.
