Mold was found during Task A and must remediated. A new unplanned task (Task J) will be added to the Earned Value Plan to collect the cost of the Mold Remediation. It will not change the baseline plan. Task J will be scheduled after Task A but before all other tasks. The PM researched Mold Remediation Contractors and one was selected on 1/17. The research required 1 hour of PM abor at $15 per hour. The Contractor requires a Time and Materials Contract for $750, payable upon completion of the work. The mold remediation is planned to be completed within 7 calendar days, starting 1/21 at the earliest. Could not begin installing the shower tiles (Task E) due to the added Mold Remediation Task.
