Managers focus on process, procedure, and implementation of the organization’s purpose. A manager's perspective is about getting the job done and keeping stability. The leader’s mindset is about change and moving workers toward the organization's vision. The area of overlap comes in terms of the need to use “soft or people skills” to get their job done. It is said that a manager motivates while a leader empowers. Leadership is setting a vision for a great human cause and working towards it. It is about inspiring and empowering employees. Leaders dream of a utopian state and work towards it. They toil towards a grandiose vision. It is about strategy. We need a good manager to structure the tasks and execute things to achieve the vision.
Managers follow the leader’s vision and help him achieve it through flawless execution It is more about administration, supervision, goal setting and achieving. The manager is more about maintaining the currents state and perfecting it. It may not involve any change and may be less risky. It is about processes, procedures, and policies. It is about day-to-day work
Change is driven by the leader. He sets the direction. The manager understands it and operates according to it.

Management is about choosing and executing resources and tasks in a perfect way to reach the goal.
Leadership is about choosing the right goals. It may be about extreme change and deviations from the current position. It is not about consistency, it is about being correct

Leadership is about setting long-term vision and working for something abstract - a large human cause, the impact of which that cannot be, measured precisely
Management is about measurable target setting and achieving it. It is about doing something today and achieving small goals to propel us towards a vision. It is about today.

If the business is fundamentally bad, then even a great management cannot help. So setting a vision and purpose are more important. If the ladder leans on the wrong wall, then the climbing effort will be wasted. Hence even with a great management team, a company can fail if it does not have good vision
