This week you should be reading Chapter 10 which deals with the file system interface. Having a functional file system is very important for programs and users to be able to find and use the information they need quickly and efficiently.
Most of you probably own or use a computer that runs Windows, MacOS, or Linux. What file system(s) are mounted on your computer?
What type of structure do these systems have and how do you typically navigate them?
What types of information (owner, size, date/time, access privileges, etc.) are recorded with regard to each file?
