1.Motivation is a very important factor to achieve success in our life. When the students are not motivated in their academics they it would reflect in their studies and activities. They would not attend the classes regularly and they may not participate in the discussions and competitions that take place in the campus. The lack of motivation may lead to the termination of academics and most of the students who are less motivated do not pursue their studies after first year in college. The students should get adequate motivation in their academics to complete their studies with high marks and get better career.
Motivation is determined by the formula M=V x E where M is motivation, V is value which include the benefits you expect from acquiring a college degree and E stands for expectation which is determined by the likeliness of earning college degree with reasonable effort. When you assign more benefits to college outcomes and experiences value becomes higher and you get highly motivated. Culture also affect motivation and if the culture devalue the formal education you may be less motivated. The expectation increases with increase in your abilities against the difficulty in achieving the goal but the culture also has significant role. If your high rating in expectation do not match the expectation of your parents you become less motivated. Teacher’s expectation also affects the motivation.
In order to keep the motivation high in this semester you should give high value to your college education and giving more value to the academic degree, knowledge and experience you gain in your college life. Secondly you should find ways to raise the expectation you have of being successful in college while making what you consider to be a reasonable effort. Mastering some of the skills that you encounter during academics also would help to increase motivation.
2. Yes, there is difference between career and job. Job refers to something you do to earn money. But career involves the series of efforts to gain knowledge, skills, experience and other aspects of life. Job is for a short interval of time and career is long term. Job does not impact the life much but career has big impact since it provides the learning and experience for future.
Job is the specific task done as part of job or for money. Job helps people to fulfill the basic needs and also get exposed to various fields. This would help the employees to develop a better career prospective and helps identify the methods to overcome the risks associated with their career. Jobs also help in finding an alternative career if the current one does not fit for us.
3. My mind is full of dreams about having a successful career life where I can utilize my skills and would get rewarded for my efforts. My dreams require me to complete my education with high marks and I should hard work to achieve the same. My college can contribute in achieving my dreams by providing the necessary facilities to complete my education and motivate me to become successful in my academics. My teachers can help me to get motivated. If my life is as good as in my dreams I would hold a good position in reputed companies like Google as I am interested in the field of information technology and I want to reach the top management position. I would have so many responsibilities to fulfill but I can work toward them as my job is my passion. I would have enough financial strength to meet my requirements and help others also financially. I would get much respect from my colleagues as well as society and I would be leading a successful life.
