Data set being used is https://www.kaggle.com/chetanism/foursquare-nyc-and-tokyo-checkin-dataset
1) Select a model and evaluation method for the data set (ex SVM, regression, decsion tree, ect.)
2) Select a random set of 2000 data items for testing and 1000 for training. You may choose a different amount of data if you have a good reason to do so.
3) then train a model using the training data and test it with the testing data. It should be a decent but not awesome model:
