Explanation / Answer

a. Getting hit by a car while crossing the street.

The risk category is 2B as the result of getting hit would be definitely critical and the chances of occurrence is also probably high because of number of times such an event has happened.

b. Having a grease fire in your kitchen.

Now the result would be catastrophic because a fire would destroy everything. The chances are however improbable because of safety interlocks in place and regular cleaning. So risk category is 1E

c. Being involved in a plane crash.

Definitely catastrophic with a remote likelihood and hence 1D risk category.

d. Working at your computer keyboard.

This is very common so high frequency and negligible damage can occur. So risk category is 4A
