Then following the Introduction blew and help to answer all 6 questions by type in detailly amd with the SPSS OUTPUT table. thank you very much.

Introduction:

There should be 62 cases and 6 variables: id, timephd, pubs, sex, cites, and salary. ID is a unique case number, timephd is the number years since the individual received her/his PhD, pubs is the number of articles published by the individual, sex is coded as 0=male and 1=female, cites is the number of times the person’s work has been cited by others, and salary is the individual’s annual salary (in dollars).

1. Before running any multiple regression analyses, what is means and standard deviations for all variables EXCEPT id?

Then Run a multiple regression analysis in which you predict salary from the other four primary variables, and answer the question from 2 to 4 in fully detail with the SPSS output table.

2. Report the detail results of the analysis. which must including the identification of the regression weights for each predictor and indicate which, if any, are significant predictors.

3. What is the R2 for the model? What does this value mean? What percentage of variance in salary is explained by the four predictors?(detail)

4. What is the predicted salary for a male who has been out of school for 7 years, has 18 publications, and 75 citations? What is the predicted salary for a female who is otherwise the same as her male counterpart?(detail)

Next, Rerun the regression analysis which including only the significant predictors from the first analysis. Then answer the question 5-6 in detail with the SPSS output table.

5. What is the R2 for the model? What does this value mean? What percentage of variance in salary is explained by the included predictors?(detail)

6. What is the predicted salary for a male who has been out of school for 7 years, has 18 publications, and 75 citations? What is the predicted salary for a female who is otherwise the same as her male counterpart?(detail)
