The file to which a virus is attached is called infected file. When the infected file is copied on a disk, the virus is also copied and It hides itself on the disk.This replicates itelf by attaching itself to executables or injecting its code into critical programs.

Different computer virus create different problems in different ways.It may destroy all the data stored in the hardd disk by either formatting it or by destroyong some of its sectors.It may change the boot sector and then computer
will not boot up.They may slow the system.They can destroy the BIOS of the
computer
