The Forgiveness" By Rebecca Brown is all about “The terrible girls” illusion power or visionary power to demonstrate the self-sacrifice in love. In the story, it has likely to observe that a girl has asked by her love to give her right arm for the sake of love. The girl also promises that she will give her arm. The story describes the continuous and cruel betrayal in love. The body part of a girl has been used to prove about that how much she loves? She was dreaming that blood is coming from her shoulder and the cut arm was kept at the mantle in the fireplace. She went to pawnshops looking for an artificial limb but nobody is helping and she has not got anything. She realized it was a test on her to show things that matter for her. She finds that her arm was a part of her and she learned to live without it. She felt how her actions were in between the phase as she proved herself brave in all the positions. She realizes nothing was there in the mantle, in the tub or in the bathroom. The shoulder tissues were almost smooth and everything was happily moving through the time. The story suggests instead of sacrifice fight with the situation at any cost which can be difficult for a moment but to give self-harm in love is not the solution. Random protest and fighting with the tough situation to make every condition normal are quite desirable. A girl must keep the habit not to self-sacrifice at any cost and should always try to protest the brutality attitude. It will boost them to learn as well as they can familiarize themselves if they can live alone without any false attachment. The situation will be much comfortable and smother rather than to do self-sacrifice in love.
