Question
Suppose two cafes occupy adjacent rooms in the same building, and each uses a different ISP with its own access point (AP) to provide wi-fi 802.11b with 11Mbps. Assume each cafe is within the range of both access points. Because each ISP is completely autonomous, it may choose any of the 11 wi-fi channels for its AP. Assume that both APs happen to be configured to use the same channel. Will customers be able to get connectivity? Why or why not? What (if any) difference would it make for customers if the two APs choose different non overlapping channels, e.g., one AP used channel 1 and the other channel 5?Explanation / Answer
a)Yes,Customers will be able to get connectivity,Though they use the same APs on the same channel, even there might be overlappping chances exists where they co-ordinate with each other as the data packets source from different ISPs.
b)In this case there will be no overlapping thus, the connectivity is not interuptable here when compared to case 1
