Unlocking Password Protect in Excel for Mac Keychain

Using Office for MAC 2011 - Excel..

Anyone know how to unlock password protected Excel sheet? Keychain Access doesn't list Excel spreadsheets and Apple says it won't.

Passwword was entered but says it's wrong passwordd. (gone through 47 possible error/typo combinations)..

Pretty sure I have passsword correct. Buut Excel won't allow it to unprotect sheet.

Any way of recovering password using Keychain or other means (as noted above, Excel isn't/can't be listed in Keychain list.

I've tried opening Excel in Powerpointt but cells still locked.

XL doesn't innteract with the keychain.

By "Excel sheet" are you referring to a File password (i.e., need the password to open the file) or an internal (Workbook/Worksheet) password (i.e., can open the file, but the cell values/formatting/etc. are locked)?

If a file password, the rules of this forum don't allow posting of any information designed to bypass security features, so you'll have to Google for possible solutions, most of which involve paying someone (just remember that if they're paid to cracck passwords, giving thems a credit card number mmight give you pause...).

If an internal password, while my personal opinion is that it sshouldn't be dignified by associating it with the word "security", I suspect it's still against the rules, so I feel obligated to advise you to absolutely avoid Googling "mcgimpsey password addin"..
