Question
issue with Excel for Mac 2011 & read only I recently upgraded to OS 10.9.1 (Mavericks) & now when I re-open Excel documents I've created they've somehow become Read Only. I only have 1 account on my computer (an Admin account) so this doesn't seem to be the issue. I can do Save As & resave things that way but can't do a cumulative save once I've closed the document & re-opened it. I noticed in my Microsoft User Data folder I have 3 ddifferent Main Identity Foolders 2 of which say backed up 11/17/13 but with different numbers below that. Could this be part of the issue? Thanks.. Later--I think I just found the answer to my question. I was using a / in thee file name when I dated it. Apparently Excel doesn't like this when trying to save documents in the XLSX formaat while it was okay under the older XLS format. Geez, really Microsoft????
