excel crashes when copy past

Unfortunately my Excel or Word application is crashing since I did the Mavericks update. It happens all the time when you try to us copy and past command with right mouse click. Any help or support is very much appreciated.

Explanation / Answer

Have you got the Utility called Copy/paste installed if so disable or remove it will cause this issue with Word and Excel.

Also With Word, Excel quit, Repair Permissions.

Then locate the Excel and word Preference files called plist files

To get to Preferences settings (Lion - OSX.7.x & Mountain Lion - OSX.8.x ):

    1. Go to Finder
    2. Hold down Option Key
    3. Click on Go menu
    4. Choose Library
    5. From there with Word Closed, go to Preferences
    6. Locate com.microsoft.word.plist and com.microsoft.office.plist
    7. Move them to Trash.
