Average Formula

please refer the file which i am facing the problem of average formula, I have already updated Target figures in the beginning, and Actuals figures are updating every month, I want average figures of both Target and actuals,. I have already given formula of Avergae =AVERAGE(C4:E4) for actuals for 3 months

=AVERAGE(C3:E3) for Target figures which I want to update the formula average Target manually for every months.

Is there any formula that to count numbers of the actuals figure updated every month and then calculate the average of target figures as per the base of count no of Actuals figure?

Please guide me....

Explanation / Answer

^&You can use AVERAGEIF formula. In P3,>?<25

=AVERAGEIF(C$4:N$4,"<>",C3:N3)

Then copy to P4

But, if you leave an Actual cell empty will not work as expected. eg: If you left empty Jul14 Actual & entered Aug14 100, Target Avg will give 1908.25. But this should be 1953.2 right?

If you want this, you can look for last entered cell in Actuals, then Avg from start:Last_entered_cell

=AVERAGE(C3:INDEX(C3:N3,MATCH(9.9E+300,C$4:N$4)))
