Question
"Sorting Techniques" Please respond to the following: Imagine you are a part of a team that is tasked with writing a mobile app that will allow users to coordinate meetings with their business contacts. The team wants to sort the relevant data by user specified criteria. Determine whether or not you believe this type of sorting would be a useful feature for the app. Provide a rationale for your response. Using the scenario from the first part of this discussion, imagine that the same team needs to devise a viable method for sorting the data by user-specified criteria. Support or challenge the use of the bubble sort technique as the teams ideal choice for sorting the data by user-specified criteria. Justify for your position.
Explanation / Answer
Sorting the data by user specified criteria would be a good choice as the users will be more attracted to the app as it caters to their needs. Users often want to sort the data according to their need and providing that would mean they can find the relevant data quickly which will benefit them and also make the company popular.
As for using bubble sort to sort the data, it is not a good option because the time complexity of bubble sort is a lot higher when compared to merge sort or quick sort. So using other sorting techniques instead of bubble sort would be a good choice.
