Since you are opting for a Web Store it will better if you select either Joomla or Word Press for quick and perfect development of your site. Joomla and Word Press provides all the feaures that you have mentioned and also all of them are up to date, i.e. there is no error in security issues, you can integrate paypal account for proper billing system, password protect user database sytem, ssl security for money transactions etc. You can easily deploy your website wihtin few days of your work with these two. All you need is a web host (for hosting of your web files) and a domain name (to launch your site with the name you want). Then you can choose from wither of the platform for ur entire development. So, you develop the entire project in home.
But, if you prefer to code in home, it will quite difficult and tidious task to do. Because you need different plugins for credit card shopping, shippinh and taz calculations. email notifications, password protection etc. So a better option is mentioned earlier. You can use PHP Zend framework to help yourself if you choose to code it entirely. I will recommend PHP becuase it is good for dynamic webpage and it supports database also.
