Learning about various hardware components and software systems and applications. These include multi-core processors, flash memory, optical processors, netbooks, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPod touch, Microsoft Surface, open source Linux, Ubuntu, virtualization, Yapta intelligent agents, and augmented reality. In addition, many new systems and applications are (or will be) arriving to the market such as iPad and many other tablets, Android mobile devices, Project Natal controller, Chrome OS, Google Translate, etc.

Explanation / Answer

In this world we live in today, is technology filled with great things and at the same time horrible things. What I mean is that the same thing that may give us many opportunities and new great ways to do things with ease. The same will also bring degradation. Privacy is the biggest loss we will face in this computer era. I will be using the Mac Book Pro and the Android Smartphone as my computing devices over the next 1-3 years. We learned about so many hardware components and software systems and applications in these past 5 chapters.  
These components include multi-core processors, flash memory, optical processors, netbooks, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPod touch, Microsoft Surface, open source Linux, Ubuntu, virtualization, Yapta intelligent agents, and augmented reality. Soon there will be more new systems and applications coming into use in the near future.
These systems include devices such as the I Pad, along with a multitude of other tablets. There are also the Android mobile devices, these have flooded the market and are now in effect for everyday use. Project Natal controller, Chrome OS, Google Translate, etc.
As for myself, I believe the Mac Book Pro is most prominent for those who are musically inclined educationally on the production side. As for the Android mobile, this is the ultimate for me since I do travel constantly with the children also for music, school and entertainment purposes. I find that if you choose the right device that is capable of running the apps you need on a regular basis your in business.  
The features of the Mac Book that I enjoy the most are the ease of use when it comes to the editing of film and music that it provides. Pro-tools and Final Cut Pro are some of the main programs I use when dealing with this side of Entertainment.
The Android will be useful to me during travel because I am able to view my apps in the most premier environment.
