Ans 5) The acquisition of knowledge is influenced by the individual personality of a person the most. People adopt different approaches in their path to sustaining knowledge so that they can utilize it when the time comes. This is mainly influenced by the individual traits of a person and what they consider important. It is essential to have a structured method for achieving a permanent logbook of the required knowledge that a person strives to acquire. Some people are much more active and hard working, spending a good amount of time on each topic pertaining to a field of expertise while others like to jump quickly onto the next topic.
This can be seen through the Myers–Briggs Type Indicator which is essentially a questionnaire that people fill which helps in gaining an insight as to how different people even with the same academic qualifications and similar experiences, make different decisions that depend upon the individuals personality traits.
Ans 6) Blooms knowledge based hierarchial model showcases how knowledge acquisition can be broken down into different levels. These levels have a hierarchial order an should only be surpassed when one has absolutely mastered that particular level. If this is not followed, then the entire process of learning and sustaining would be hampered. These levels in their ascending order are -
Remembering the facts and figures about the topic in detail.
Comprehending the data that was remembered for further application to problems.
Application of the comprehended facts into usage to solve issues.
Analysis of the applied knowledge to gain useful insights about its impact on the particular issue
Creation means actual synthesis of complex plans to solve complex operations in an organisation.
Evaluation helps in accessing whether the newly developed system is performing as per the expectations.
Ans 7) Knowledge repositories can be though of as the storehouse of the previously acquired collective knowledge of an organisation. This knowledge can be stored in the form of tangible documents or even electronic data which can be later used as references to tackle newer challenges. They can even be thought of as the expertise of the staff members who have gained deep insights about various topics on account of working upon those topics in the past.
Knowledge reuse can be both internal and external, i.e. a person can reuse his previously acquired knowledge for solving issues in the future( internal knowledge reuse), and a person can also benefit from the knowledge acquired by someone else ( external knowledge reuse). Thus they can ask for the relevent details from the knowledge repository of the organisation. In this way an organisation saves time in looking for the same data that they must have accumulated for a previous task.
