Acute stress disorder -It results in severe anxiety caused by some traumatic event. Individuals with the disorder dissociate themselves, are emotionally unresponsive and feel guilty frequently
Anti social personality disorder - Individuals tend to be aggressive and treat others harshly and are careless regarding others feelings. They show no guilt or remorse afterwards
Bipolar disorder - Associated with mood swings which may last for a week. It ranges from manic highs to depressive lows
Major depression - It is persistent in nature where individuals are depressed and lose interest in daily activities and is present across all situations
Phobia - It is a type of anxiety disorder where a person experiences excessive fear of an object or a situation .The individual would go to greater lengths to avoid that situation because it is stressful for them to face the situation. Puts them in a position of discomfort. It often results in panic attacks
OCD- The first part is obsession and the second part is compulsion. It is a chronic disorder. Often uncontrollable where an individual is obsessed with repetitive behaviour. Obsession is the cognitive part and the compulsion is the resulting action
PTSD-A person who was exposed to some traumatic event experiences this disorder where dreams related to the event, disturbing thoughts, and continuous stress are common symptoms
Schizophrenia -Characterised by delusions, hallucinations. It affects the person's ability to think and behave. They perceive the world in a very different light . They think the world is plotting against them
Dissociate disorder- Amnesia and dissociative fugue are types of dissociative disorder. Amnesia is a temporary loss of memory . Dissociative fugue is reversal amnesia for personal identity
