The length-tension relationship comprises that isometric tension which generated within the skeletal muscle that can be define as the magnitude of overlap between actin and myosin filaments with in the muscle fibers .shorten the length more will the tension will generate the length-tension relationship is clearly being seen in case of gait cycle, in acceleration phase the flexors of leg get shorten , in this phase the tension increases with respect to the length of the muscle get shorten, in mid stance the plateau is formed and as far as deceleration phase is concern the situation is vice versa to acceleration.The another example we can take in case of squatting. Contraction of quadriceps in half squat the tension is more as the muscle fully shorten to get strengthen.In most of isometric exercises the same relationship can be applied

The tension produce with in the muscle is depends upon the number of the cross bridges formed among the muscles filaments so , as the pressure or load is applied over the muscle the tension increases while the velocity decreases. Take an example of weight lifting lesser the load more will be the velocity and vise versa.

Both the relationship/concepts are somewhere interrelated so i selected two for better understanding
