Explanation / Answer
Every organization has their own functional design structure but during the initial stage some organizations may not have the structures and later they may form the structures according to their company’s objective and regulations. At present I was working in a multinational company and it has a functional design structure. Our organization was centered around the basic functions along with the human resource managers, accounting and engineers etc. Main advantage of using the functional structure was it efficiently uses the managers and hired employees will also expertise in their specialization. All the experts will work together to have the success.
I would consider the same organization as organic because all the employees will work together to achieve the company objective and they also share all the inputs on tasks. Every aspect regarding the organization will be open book for the employees, managers and the stakeholders. If any problems arise in the organization every employee will participate all clear all the risks. Our organization always had the happy environment along with the happy employees. Best example of this type of organization was Google and Facebook.
I believe that structure and design give the effective products and business environment because if the organization was planned with the good structure from the beginning stages there will be clear vision about the future without any conflicts. While starting any firm it was important to have the well planned design and structure to reduce the problems in the future. If the employees in the organization aware about the organization’s structure and design they work according to that objective so that we can observe the effective product outcomes and profits in the business environment.
