4) a. Neuropil: Neurophil is a dense network of nerve fibres, their branches synapses and glial filaments. It is composed of mostly unmyelinated axons, dendrites and glial cell processes, which creates a dense area that contain a relatively low number of cell bodies.

b. Nissl bodies: Nissl body is a large granular body found in neurons. These granules include rough endoplasmic reticulum with rosettes of free ribosomes. It is the site of protein synthesis. It also stores glycogen for energy and produce neurotransmitters.

c. Ganglion: A ganglion is a nerve cell cluster located in the autonomic nervous system and sensory system. It accommodates the cell bodies of afferent nerves and efferent nerves.

d. Purkinje fibers: Purkinje fibers are a unique cardiac end-organ and a very important component for blood circulation in humans. They receive conductive signals originating at the atrioventricular node and activate the left and right ventricles by stimulation of ventricular myocardium. They promote rapid conduction of impulse with the help of ventricles.
