Ventricular systole: It is a period of contraction of ventricle during which blood is pumped in to aorta and pulmonary artery. Laminar blood flow: It is the normal blood flow characterised by concentric layers of blood moving in parallel to blood vessel. Turbulent blood flow: It is the irregular flow of blood with chaotic changes in pressure and flow velocity Cardiac rate: It is the number of contractions of heart per minute.
