List the amount of the following nutrients from the food label (Serving Size, total Calories, Grams of Carbohydrate broken down into sugars and complex carbs, Fat broken down into saturated and mono/polyunsaturated, Protein, Fiber, and vitamins or minerals that are prominently present in the food) ALSO list the first 5 ingredients on the ingredient list. Finally list if there is any hydrogenated oil or partially hydrogenated oil on the ingredient list, which would indicate the product had trans-fat in it, one of the most unhealthy ingredients that one should not consume 5) Compare the My Food Plate to the DASH plan and the mediterraoan diet, what is your impression of each?

1) We should have 3 cups of dairy food,one half cup of fruits, one half cereal, one half cup of veggies and adequate amount of protein.

Under dairy we need to take fat free milk and probiotic yoghurt.

Under fruits we need to take oranges,banana, strawberries etc which are rich in vitamin c,folate,potassium.

Under cereals we need to take brown rice or whole cereal for fibre and roughage.

Under protein we need to take fish or meat for protein intake and sodium.

Under veggies we need to have beans,sprouts and lots of different coloured vegetables for good health.

2) I do read food labels and ingredients. This is to find out whether too much of artificial ingredients are used or not. I am allergic to monosodium glutamate and peanuts and should avoid foods containing those.

3) They have'nt mentioned the amount of fat to consume if any.

4) Strawberry - vitamin C mineral manganese; a very good source of fiber, iodine, and folate,copper, potassium ,biotin,phosphorus,magnesium, vitamin B6 and omega-3 fats .

Eggs - selenium,vitamin B2, vitamin D, zinc,copper,protein.

Milk - thiamin, riboflavin and vitamin B12 ,vitamin B6, vitamin C and folate.
