1.The power generated during vertical jump test depends upon person's body weight, height of jump reached, gravitational force. Power= work/ time, work= force × distance
2.Static squat jump is defined as the jump from squatting position where as counter movement jump is jump from staddle position that is one leg slightly forward. CMJ is more of a Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation types of movement than squat jump.
3. Equipment to measure vertical jump are measuring tapes, wall mounted, Vertec, Vertical jump mat, just jump mat, force plate, chrono jump, wearable system, video system etc.
4. The counter movement jump activates the stretch shortening cycle in the muscle, resulting in greater power production in the leg. Due to this reason CMJ produce more height than that of squat jump. The difference is about 3-6 cm in height.
