As a result of this Christianization, Roman Law came to discriminate against non- Christians, particularly against Jews. You've read the relevant selections from Roman Law on the treatment of Jews. You'll remember that after the 600s, Arab Muslims conquered the Middle East and North Africa subjecting Jews and Christians to legal discrimination. You've read the Pact of Umar which outlines some of this discrimination Instructions Look at the way that these Empires treat members of the non-dominant religions based on those texts. If you lived in the ninth century (i.e., the 800s CE), would you rather be a Jew in the Byzantine Empire or a Christian in the Abbasid Caliphate? Why? Explain your answer in at least two paragraphs Remember to respond to at least two of your classmate's answers as well Option 2: After the fall of the Western Roman Empire, cities in Western Europe shrank dramatically and in some cases vanished altogether. In the Byzantine Empire, cities also shrank, although not to the extent that they had in Western Europe. In the Muslim world, however, cities did not shrink, and indeed, cities in the Middle East and North Africa prospered in what historians often refer to as a golden age of Islam Why might cities have shrunk drastically in Western Europe, shrank somewhat in the Byzantine Empire, but prospered and grew in the Muslim caliphates? Your answer needs to be at least two paragraphs long and you need to respond to at least two other students' posts. Remember to cite any outside sources!Explanation / Answer
option 1;
judaism is the traditional faith follow by the ethnoreligious group which was originated in the middle east. the place was known as the land of Israel they were the flourishing kingdom in every means as they follow a common religion which makes them united in some means. on another hand, Christianity was getting developed in European part, it grows rapidly and many kingdoms follow this ideology . as the kingdom of Judea had previously been an ally of the roman republic which makes them practice Jewish religion . after the fall of the western Roman empire the whole ideology of Roman empire is change which makes the whole environment disturbing for Jewish people. there were several restrictions on Jewish people economically as well as practice their religion, they get exploited. after several years of this process of exploitation, the roman-jews war happen.
in another world, the Muslim empire is on the boom and its expand tremendously. when they were growing all things get repeated the thing happen with jewsh now happening with Christians at that time. so now the case occurs if I was born there then which religion i need to choose, the whole world is going through new phase of ideology and every time new ideology of practice get dominated over other, so the point of getting into one religion is baseless at that time because every religion have their own drawbacks as it didn't consider other religion at the same level but try to make them vanish.if so i need to choose then, i will choose Christianity in Abbasid caliphate because of its ideology of facts, which make it more realistic. they have developed the practice over the period of time in which people believe to have the different ideology of practice. whereas Jewish religion is good at it place but they couldn't continue their faith among their people because of other religious treats at that time. it doesn't mean i prefer one over other, as i say earlier choosing religion at that time is baseless because of the lack of freedom of the religion.
