Question
2. In 2007 Jane Doe was a 28yearold mother who entered a radio contest to try to win a Nintendo Wii game system for her children. As part of the radio station’s contest, Jane drank bottle after bottle of water for 23 hours without urinating. Initially, Ms. Doe seemed to be having fun, joking lightheartedly with the radio hosts and obligingly downing at least one 16 ounce bottle of water every 15 minutes (sometimes two bottles). The total amount of water imbibed by Jane Doe exceeded 2 gallons (2 gallons = 256 ounces = 16 16oz bottles). As the hours passed, she developed a splitting headache and intermittent dizziness. She ran to the bathroom and vomited at least once. She ended up going home from work for the day because her headache was excruciating and she was too sick for work. Her mother found her that afternoon, dead in her home.
