Some people are more willing to openly display prejudice regarding sexual orientation than prejudice regarding race and gender, or maybe the other way around; some people are more willing to openly display prejudice regarding race than prejudice towards sexual orientation. Speculate why this might be. Use what you learned in this lesson to support your response.

1. Behavior is basically a mix of both the situation and of the person. Situationism is defined as a theory which implies that behavior and actions are influenced by our environment as well as the surroundings. Dipositionism on the other hand, views that behavior is determined by internal factors such as personality and temperament.

Example:

Both the theories depict an overweight person differently:

Situationist approach: The situationist would believe the person became this way because of lack of education or information,or low access to healthier foods, lack of exercising etc.

Dispositionist approach: The dipositionist would believe the person became overweight due to laziness, lack of motivation or concern etc. They believ that they have not developed self-control.
