1.The religious revivals are known as Great Awakening because it changed the way people thought about the relationships with the divine, with themselves and with other people. The enlightenment engaged the mind, but the awakening engaged the heart. True to the value of the enlightenment, the awakening emphasized human decisions in matters of religion and morality. It respected each individual's feelings and emotions.
