The self fulfilling prophecy maybe demonstrated in plenty of real life situations. For example, a man may start dating a woman assumption that she is not really “marriage material." As a result, man refrains from taking the relationship seriously and doss not invest too much time or effort into it. Consequently, because of his lack of investment into the relationship, his partner may feel that he is distant and unavailable. Therefore, the partner may decide to leave him. When she leaves, the man may conclude that he was ultimately proven right and that his partner was not marriage material.
