1) It is a nitrogen containing biophosohanate drug used to treat osteoporosis and bone weakness soeciallysafter menopausal bone problem in women. It works by increasing the BMD and reducing VERTEBRAL fracture incidence.
2) She may take calcium supplements but one should take ibandronate before an hour atleast ,of taking calcium supplement. Calcium supplement is necessary for making bone strong.
3) Dose of 1mg per month for atleast 3 month. UtIshould be administered orally before 1 hour of taking the first good of the day.
Drug should be repeated on same day of next month.
4) There are some side effects of this drug.
Possible serious side effects include: Respiratortract infections, Pneumonia, Bronchitis, Urinary tract infections (UTIs) and oesophagus Infection etc .
