Critical thinking. write a one page on your thought on the verse (what you this mean to you)Happy the man who has not walked in the wicked’s counsel, nor in the way of offenders has stood, nor in the session of scoffers has sat. But the LORD’s teaching is his desire, and His teaching he murmurs day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, that bears its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither— and in all that he does he prospers. Not so the wicked, but like chaff that the wind drives away. Therefore, the wicked will not stand up in judgment, nor offenders in the band of the righteous. For the LORD embraces the way of the righteous, and the way of the wicked is lost.

Explanation / Answer
These verses belong to Psalms Chapter 1. These verses introduces us to two ways of life and two choices of men. The men who choose to serve the Lord relies on him. He keeps the guidelines provided to him by God in every aspect of his life. This makes him as a tree that has been planted near the streams of water, as he draws his strength during the adversties of life by meditating and following his God, and his faith in God will provide him strength and resources during those times. This would keep him fruitful for his Almighty throughout his life time. Hence, the psalmist calls person who has chosen the way of right living under the guidance of Almighty as happy and will be rewarded with eternity.
The man who choose the opposite, that is to walk in the corrupt ways and follow the evil desires of his heart will perish because of his choice. He will have to face the consequences of his choice. He will face the ultimate judgement of God and will be doomed eternally. According to the psalmist he will be driven away that is will be lost forever as chaff is lost in the wind.
Thus, the psalmist warns regarding the choices of life and advises to choose with wisdom and practicality.
