Purpose

To increase students awareness about the importance of learning different international languages. My aim is to find out the usefullness of learning different international languages.

Background of the problem

In modern era ,multilingualism become very much important as it is very much beneficial specially in educational area. From a financial and social perspective dealing with different foreign languages help to make real connection with people.

Having knowledege in a foreign language enhances the employment opportunities. It helps to develop and sustain a better relationship with the clients or the customers with whom they are dealing with. Most international companies are searching for multilingual candidates. It will help to encourage staff perfomance and improve coustmer services.

The reason for giving importance to multiple language is that it improves ones individuality and self esteem. Improved ability to speak foreign languages enables people to communicate and serve people better. It will eventually lead to longterm success. How much you are able to express yourself depends on howmuch you are efficient in using different languages.

Apart from this, there are a lot of benefits such as memory improvement, longer attention span and a reduced risk of age related cognitive decline.

At this preliminary stage of my research , I think i should be able to deal with the following questions.

Methods of research

I intend to investigate and review the relevant literature related to the uses of international language . I plan to interview some experts who provide help in this field and also some multilinguals . Different questionnaires to know the attitude of students will also be included. At least to buissness man who have international connections will also be interviewed.

Timetable

I expect my data collection can be completed within August 15 and can complete my research by September. After getting suggestions and comments on my draft , I will make corrections and revise the final copy of my background report and submit it by October.
