1. I’m looking for help to write the first paragraph(about 250 words) of the college research essay. The idea is around “what could we do for the depression patients”.

There are some of the topics can be the thesis statement that I thought.

1. make parent's generation understand the mental illness

2. More standardized treatment of psychological hospitals (example: abusement)

3. Make police to study about psychology to protect themselves from mental illness

4. Make patient pay attention to the treatment

5.Control network violence

Please chose 4 of these or help me to find other possible topics you think good to write.

2.And hoping to give me some suggestion to define the audience. I’m not sure if I can make these five topics for an only specific group of audience.

Explanation / Answer

ortanf one of the biggest problems that has been surrounding people suffering from mental illness is the stigma that the society holds against them. In many cultures, there isn’t even an acceptance of the fact that a family member could be suffering from mental illness, let alone its treatment. Irrespective of the severity of the mental illness, a person suffering from the same is referred to as mad.

Thus, the first task is accomplished when the parents would be educated about what exactly mental illness is. It is important to make them understand that mental illness does not exactly mean madness and not every illness is same. There may be different conditions and different severities with different treatment approaches for the same.

Also, it is important to make them understand that every mental condition does not require to be treated st home. It is to explain that some of the mental health conditions can also be treated at home through medications. Depression is one of the conditions in which a person would be feeling alone, demotivated, would also be cured through a bit of family support and medicines.

There are a number of preconceived notions that surround mental health illness. These require to be cleared.
