Explanation / Answer

In my communication with my significant others, I feel confident to express my feelings and thoughts clearly with them. I feel lucky that I have been surrounded with people who are encouraging and accepting of my thoughts and feelings. I was reared in such a manner where I was encouraged to share my feelings and thoughts with my significant others.

I also feel highly satisfied with my self-concept. I feel blessed that I have the ability to handle the stresses of daily life in a healthy manner. Like wise, I feel that my sense of self-worth is high. I take pride in my work and have the confidence of having a good well-being. I am open to taking feedback in a constructive manner, whereby, if someone points out something, I take it as a challenge to improvise on myself.

I think that through self-disclosure and feedback form others, I try to improve on my Open area of the JOHARI window. I am always looking for feedback and do indulge in self-disclosure, when I am a part of any new team. I do provide feedback to others also.

If ever I face any negative thought I try to replace it with positive and encouraging words. For example, if I face a challenge, then I try to reassure myself that I have the required ability to perform a task. In case I lack something, I take it as a challenge, to learn the new skills.

I am receptive and open to listen to what the other person is saying. I try to engage in active listening and not just hear to what the other person is saying. One of the skills of a good counsellor is active listening. This involves understanding what the otehr person is saying and at the same time analysisng the body language of the other person.

In a way I can say that I am open and receptive to the feedback of others and at the same time I feel confident about my abilitities and skills.
