Explanation / Answer
Cultural sensitivity
This is the sense of being of an individual that there are different cultures and that these cultural differences may also have similarities in a person along with differences. These similarities and differences have to be acknowledged without assigning any positive or negative attributes the these cultural differences. A person has to acknowledge as well as accept that there are culturally different people. It is very important to take diversity into consideration for places such as schools and work environment. If a person does not consider these differences in vivid places such as the above two, it could lead to cultural clashes, non cooperation amongst employees and ultimately result in lower productivity and efficiency. In school, it could lead to foundations of discrimination and differences amongst the children. Hence, when I'm working in my team, I take care to cooperate with other team members. It is important that the we require to discuss amongst ourselves and learn what are the cultural inputs of the other culture. What core values are held by their culture and explain our differences to them so that when a team is working, they have that understanding and function in an effective way rather than creating cross competition among team members.
