Virtues according to dictionary is the quality of doing what is right and avoiding what is wrong. Virtue is valued as foundation of good moral being. Vice is opposite to virtue, it is negative trait associated with the character of the individual. Vice is negative trait, which is deemed as bad, characterized as wickedness and harmful to one's healthy being. Both virtues and vice comprise to form individual's behavior in certain situations.

We have 4 classic cardinal virtues as temperance, prudence, courage, and justice. Temperance is related to one's self control of emotional anger and temper, practicing peace, abstinence from harming others, etc. Prudence is ability to discipline self reasoning and having balance, this virtue influences other virtues. Courage is the individual's ability to confront fear, uncertainty. Justice is righteousness and fairness in thoughts, behavior, and ability to make fair judgment.

Let us consider Marianne's case. Here, the vice observed when Marianne tries to cope with the tensions and anger due to traffic jam. This can be classified as vice related to wrath or anger (Dante Alighieri).

Marianne's act of defending her coworker against lewd comments by her boss shows her conduct there composed for virtue of courage and justice. Also, Marianne's act of reviewing insurance contract request show her virtue of justice, where she is making a fair judgment by reviewing pros and cons of contracts in a systematic and unbiased way.
