At first Leena lost some weight shortly after she was born because she would not eat. After a short while she began to get used to feeding and gained the weight back.It is normal that infants lose a couple pound in the first couple days as they are no longer being directly fed directly by the mother. This is considered to be a normal event for infants. As long as the infant is receiving the nutrients they need in an adequate amount the weight will continue to grow. In the long run it is proven that infants who are breast fed are actually less likely to become overweight.Although infants who are breast fed are more likely to gain more weight as compared to newborns who are formula fed this is part of the typical developmental process.

She is usually calm and in a good mood .This means that she is getting enough sleep and is not greatly affected by getting a shorter amount of sleep time. As most newborns, she spent most of her time sleeping. As she got older, she began having 2 hour day naps and 6 hours of night sleep, which is also similar to the typical development of patter of the babies.

She is advanced in her gross and fine motor skills,is curious, and enjoys crawling and manipulating objects. She is cautious and shy around new people and situations, but is not combative or totally uncooperative, and will eventually explore.
