2) The glia cell (neuroglia) in the nervous system derived its name from the Greek name for “glue.” This term was given by early investigators who thought the main function of the cell was to hold neurons together. Given that glia have been shown to have several more functions in the nervous system, the original name of “glue” seems unfitting. 1) All and None phenomenon means there is a minimum value of action potential which is required to transmission. If the action potential comes which much greater than the threshold value it will open all the ions channels resulting in the transmission of ions in the neuron Hence generating. A.P..
But if the threshold value is not reached it will not open ions channel in the neuron Hence no transmission..!!
Refractory period is the stage whre the neuron preapre itself to get the another action potential comes to its original position Hence preapre fir the near one...
2) Glial cells include like astrocytes and all which is very important as it provides support, nutrition, immunity, myelin formation in the neuron. Moreover it is also help in forming of blood brain barrier..!! It help in proper growth of neuron..!!
