Generally the public regards the white collar crimes done by the elite class of the society , the less serious ones , as compared to the other conventional crimes. This is due to the reason that they believe that , these crimes are done by the rich people for their greed or some personal corporate gains. Most of the victims even do not come into light due to shame that they have been victimized by such a crime.

Whenever a person is robbed or assaulted , he is likely to come and report for the offender , unlike the ones victimized by such white collar crimes , even though the impact of later is higher that the former in the long run.
